they ran out of second gens (the first season tehy destroyed I think the count got up to 20 on nasty z28)

a third gen camaro sells for about $500 regualrly especially the ones they use, they also have the look that they want for blowing up, escorts just aren't impressive

Agreed. Those camaros are the "fastest looking" cheap cars that they can do this to. An escort doesn't conjure(sp?) up a notion of speed, but a camaro looks fast, and makes for a more entertaining show. And they do look good while doing it too. just a shame they don't send them to something like chop cut rebuild instead, and make the fear factor people deal with the escorts.
