Hello from New York

I just became a member. I have a black 03 GT Convert. 4.6L. I've been a Ford truck guy mostly, but once I became a stang owner I was hooked. I'm a do- it -yourself type of person and I'm new to this car and I could use some help. What's the best way to remove the stock fuel filter without wrecking it? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hey there Welcome to the club!!
The fuel filter should have 2 plastic clips that you need remove to get the lines off.
Good luck!!

I pulled those clips off and the lines seem to be stuck in the filter. I tried pulling with reasonable force but no luck. Should I try pulling the lines off with brute force and probably damage the old filter in the process? Thanks for the help Big Nick

The fuel filter sometimes rust in the plastic hose end.....they can be real hard to get out....they can come apart but there is a o oring and plastic spacer that are rusted to the filter nipple.
