as u can see the car is under construction at the moment, the guy before me that had it obviously didnt take much care of it, so ive decided to restore it bottom up, and decided to have it in black

Don't even sweat it dude, I started off with worse than that. Actually, it was a bare shell when I got it and she looked like this in the end:


There's always hope my friend, find some good parts and clean the crap out of everything! If you need em, I have some pretty decent convertible doors and a trunk lid that I would let go real cheap. Good luck, and you can make that baby shine!

that looks real clean, i like the font bumper is that the dech front, and yeah i might be interested in the doors and trunk lid, but first wanna go through the doors with the air chizle and see what im actually dealing with here, but hey would u know neone that does tops, and i heard that the tops on every vert is different is that true. and also does the inside of the top have some sort of a liner, or are u suppose to see the rails and what not

Thanks! That is a full DECH kit. I do know of someone, I cannot recall the name right now but it is located on Dufferin Street on the west side south of Lawrence Ave. The tops are very similar from 83-93, with the earlier cars having a plastic window and the later cars having a glass rear window. Expect to pay $600-650 to have a new top installed, and another $150 for a head liner. The headliner makes a HUGE difference inside the car for looks and noise reduction, its well worth the extra cost. Not all cars came with it.
