Hi, I 'm a newcomer. I have been on many other sites. I am from Appleton, WI. I have an 1982 Pace Car that I am currently fully restoring. It is exciting but expensive. Can you believe the cheapest decal kit is nearly $900.00. I am keeping all the original colors and parts(some may be replaced by others but I will still hold on to them, 4 to 5 speed). I would like to covert to 5 spd. with a t5 or t56. Also a locker with rear discs(aluminun calipers). Interior needs some work, mostly driver seat and interior panels that don't have the carpeting on them(faded, scratched). This is my first car, I bought it when I was 15 now 25. Finally starting to see the light at the end. I don't plan on ever getting rid of this baby. I am looking for paint codes for the silver and blue(ie. WA#). There are no RPO stickers but it does have the tag(no help on pace cars for paint codes, I was told). If anyone has any parts, ideas, comments, encouragement, ect. for a succesful restore and sweet ride I am all ears. If anyone knows someone who knows someone that had the pace car decals made or can at least get them for less than 900.00 or if that even get them at all. Also paint codes, is there somewhere I can look or call, ect. to find this out(I would like exact match for paint). Thanks to all. Great to be a part of your group and share in your passion.
