new camaro owner
Hey everybody,
So I just bought a used - salvage but fixed and back on the road - 98 Camaro at the weekend. I guess time will tell if I did the right thing, but the price was right and I'm loving it so far.
I took it to a mechanic during the test drive, and he looked it over. The frame has some signs of damage, it's been well repaired and compensated for. I think I will get subframes installed as a further improvement. The check engine light is also on, and he ran the codes (see my first post); I'll be getting those seen to this week (air flow sensor, throttle switch, possible the catalyst).
He told me that it's a good car, and because of what he found, I got it for half blue book.
So stay tuned as to how it turns out. I'm sure I'll be posting info about stuff I do to it, and mining you guys for opinions.
Cheers!
