1990 Honda accord help?

Probably the best thing to do would be to take it to a shop. They will have test equipment to test the ignition components. The way most people troubleshoot cars is to replace parts one at a time until the problem is solved. You might or might not save money by being a parts replacer. You would have to compare the cost of the parts to the labor bill at the shop. If you replace parts, the logical way to do it is to replace the least costly items first. That would usually be the magnetic pickup in the distributor. The magnetic pickup is also the most work as you basically have to disassemble the distributor.
How long has it been since the spark plugs have been replaced? If it's been awhile, be sure to remove them one at a time and replace them. Also the ignition coil and ignition module could be bad as well as the distributor cap and rotor cap.
