...of a cracked/blown head set gasket? The car was driven on a regular basis from 1991 to 2001, sat from 2001 to 2005, my sister drove it from 2005 to mid 2007, and I got the car from May 2007 till now.

Last week my car started misfiring to the point of not being able to drive it and it started to smoke a little from the hood. I was told by a friend who is a mechanic to get the head set gasket replaced. Does that sound like symptoms of a blown/cracked head gasket set?

In the past 8 months that I have had the car I have had to replace the:

radiotor

cv joints

steering belt

Question 2: I amm afraid that because the car sat for so long that I will just be replacing part after part after part. Is it worth trying to fix up this car?
