1994 Honda accord is being sold for $1500.00. Would you be skeptical of buying it?

I do not know much about cars but I am buying a car, a 1994 Honda Accord next week. It has 108,000 miles on it and its being sold for 1500 dollars. I believe that is a good deal but could someone please tell me what I am looking for when I go see the car. How would I know if it's a good car or not. I have heard that people take advantage of other people when they don't know much about cars. I do not want to be taken advantage of and I do not have anyone to go with me to look at the car, so please, if you are able, help me. It would be more than appreciated.....

If you want to share anything else that you think I should know about cars once I purchase one again it would be appreciated.

lol its simple ...in canada they have emission and safety done here ...if he's willing to get it done for you then sure go for it but if your still in doubt then take the car to near mechanic shop and ask him what does he think of that car ...simple as that

Here's the long eplanation... Check the Bumper, if it's damaged pretty good in the fron, Air bags are deployed and the air bag is probably not working any more, which is dangerous for you in an accident. Check the frame... is it bent, is it RUSTED, it could be a flood damaged car, which is very bad... Flood damage causes mold, rust, and electrical problems later on... Are the seats torn up? Is the engine leaking oil, or any oil leaks at that matter. Is the paint chipping... does it have body damage... Does the car need new brakes? is the radiator working fine where the car doesn't start to over heat and the car's fan starts to spin up frequently when driving... YOU SHOULD TEST DRIVE ebfore the decision is made... do you hear strange noises when driving the car on the road? like the shocks when driving over bumps... do they squeak? if they do they need to be replaced... Maybe the water pump and timing belt haven't been replaced (Every car should have it's water pump and timing belt replaced at 90K miles) or else the car could over heat, and cause the engine to die if its hot and the water pump fails because of the timing belt breaking... Is the AC working? heater? stereo? car interior electonics? There is so much, basically, if the car doesn't seem right, dont buy it. Good luck! I do inspections for my friends when they buy cars, and also help my friend with his car dealership before he sold it... Be safe, and take your time, dont let them rush you...

hondas are excellent cars, the most reliable made.

when you go, look for rust on the frame (under the car) if its rotted out, dont get it. 1500 is a very good deal for a 94 accord.
