I have a 2006 V-6 that has a film on the windshield. I had the same problem in my 89 accord years back. What causes this and how can I fix the problem for good?

i have heard that its a build up of car wax , when you go thru an automatic car wash, try using vinegar to clean it off.

Do you mean on the inside or outside? If on the inside I've heard it could be caused by vapors created when the plastics in the car heat up. Is this more of a problem in summer than winter? Crack your windows on hot days is pretty much all you can do.

Try rubbing the screen with half a cut lemon, and then wash off. I empty one of those lemon shape artificial lemons into my screen bottle. Cleans off road film a treat.
