Same things happen to my '96 Saturn..I got the radiator changed too and have to frequently put oil and antifreeze in my car.

Its time for new car, but until then, just try not to stop at too many stop signs. lol

you dont want to put all your money in that '92 ...if you can help it

..*** blasting the heat even if it is hot out, usually helps overheating. dont ask why, i guess its because it pushes all the hot air onto you instead of the actual insides of the car.

if you overheated that aluminum head even once, let alone 10 times the head gasket is bad ,or head is cracked or both.start your car cold with rad cap off smell the coolant in the filler neck if you smell oil or gas. bad turn it off it only has to run for 30 to 60 seconds for you to smell the gas. compression leak. pressure from your motor enters the cooling system. coolant is pushing back at the hot gasses but loosing the pressure battle. you start overheating right away but wont notice till the pressure behind the rad gap is over specs then at stops you can hear the coolant gurgling.there is a slim chance you can save the motor versus the scrap heap.get a can of k-n-w block sealer. follow the directions to the letter.take out the thermostat and let it dry the allotted time.leave off cap and upper rad hose...let it cure''''''''''rinse put back together and cross fingers. good luck. 50 50 chance head gasket head milling head set head bolts .repair right is spendy for old high mileage car
