its not the curve at all its actually a safety feature and is easily removed, take the rear door panels off you will see a rubber piece with some foam and a few bolts that is what stops the windows from going all the way down remove those pieces and they will go down all the way. most newer cars have this feature as a safety precaution for kids, and pets etc.

Yes, my car window have the same problem. I replace the window electronic system because only a plastic piece was broken and that piece do not help to the glass go all the way down.

yes...they do still stop around half way. This is a safety switch that can easily be popped off. Be sure you find the piece with the foam and bolts and simply remove it from the door harnerss, Put the pieces back together and viola...fixed window.
