Does 2002 Honda Accord EX have reliable transmission? - GTcarz

There was a class action filed against Honda in the early 90's over extensive transmission problems in certain of their cars. According to the Honda website related to that matter, the Accord we are looking at (VIN # 1HGCG32732A013229 was not part of the recall. That doesn't mean it shouldn't have been. Can any one help us on this? Thanks, Jim D

2002 Accords are the best cars in the world. They only have one weak spot. The automatic transmission. My manual transmission was flawless. My friend's automatic was troublesome. When she drove other people around, she wondered if they thought she was a bad driver because she would jerk the car forward from a stoplight.

You are out of luck. You can always write a letter to Honda telling them why you chose a Honda and asking for any help they will give. maybe they want to keep you as a customer. Did you buy it from a Honda dealer and use their service?
