How long does a new automatic transmission last? (in a honda accord 2001) Just
had it replaced? I have 83,000 miles on it. Honda recalled the transmission on my car model. One day to the next it died. Should honda pay for my car rental fees? I paid $400.00 for 7 days.

If you really take care of it -- I'm talking changing the oil every 5000 miles......... with regular service checks:200,000 to 300,000 ........ no kidding!!!
