how many miles can you put on a honda i am looking at a used accord?

my 93 accord has 180,000 and going strong; original clutch and no major repairs. Accords have a very good track record.

If you keep up with regular maintenance a honda engine will run more than 300,000 miles. Had a friend in college, had a Honda Civic, his odometer was over 300,000, not sure if he still has it or not. He told me he would drive it till it died.ps His parents had bought the car new and gave it to him when he was in high school so it still had the original engine in it.

How many miles might vary widely. It depends on how well the car has been maintained. It is especially important that the oil has been changed regularly, and other fluids such as in transmission. It is always a risk when buying a used car with no warranty, and you need to really be able to trust the previous owner, (assuming it is a one owner and not a disreputable dealer.) If any doubt, have it checked out by a good mechanic. There is always the chance of buying a lemon, (car with lots of problems), but if it has been well maintained you could possibly get a couple of hundred thousand miles. Good luck.
