Mazda 3 Or Honda Civic?
#2
I don't know much about the Mazda 3 but I own a Civic. So here is a little owner testimony:
My car is 1994 Civic ex with 187K miles. The engine + tranny + suspension runs like new. The car is rock solid dependable. I also own Audi A4 (only 65K miles) and I trust the Civic more for long distance drive. When I say long distance I'm talking from NYC to Chicago (800 miles) and back the next day (total of 1600 miles in 2 day).
I drove it down from Boston to NYC last week (210.5 miles) and I only used 5.112 gallons (on cruise control). That comes out to 41 MPG. WOW !!!
Good Luck - and don't be confused...

i own 4 hondas. 2 civics, 1 2008 accord and a 2003 accord. they are all good cars. mazda has too many transmission problems. and not all mazda's are rotary engines. only the rx7 and rx8 are rotary. the mazda 3 uses a normal 4 cylinder engine. if your looking for a sexy as car start looking into a civic s.i if you get it fully loaded, it even comes with factory navigation and a much beter interior and exterior. and you still have the reliabilty of honda.oh and they come in a 2 door coupe or 4 door sedan

I own a Honda Civic 1996 and the only problem I've had is the Air Flow Meter, and the A/C but , believe you me, that is standard in any vehicle, but Honda surpassed Mazda quite a distance ahead but still Mazda is a great vehicle, just make sure you like the vehicle, other than that...enjoy. P.S. Maintenance rules!
