struts making noices...?

Ive replaced two new front struts on my accord, before that my old struts where really bad and where making clicking sounds so I've decided to change them and now the car drives much better, but one really big problem why do they make this grinding sound, its not like when metal is hitting metal.. its like u walk on the old wooden floor.. makes this wierd sound when u drive on the bumps.. why is it making this sounds.. they are new struts...

Sometimes new struts will make noise for a few days until they break in. I don't it should be that severe though. I would have to hear it to say for sure. My guess (from your description) is that the coils are not seated correctly or the rubber dampener on which the springs rest is worn or missing. I know, because I used to own a repair shop - most shops will fix it if they are reputable. Now I work from home part time with Global Domains - better money - much cleaner work. - http://www.gdisites.com
