I'm on my 4th Toyota, each bought used around 50,000 miles, and kept each well past 150,000 miles - one to 200,000 miles. So, after driving more than a half-million miles in used Toyotas with just one breakdown (manual transmission seal, $50 fix), I'd say you can't go wrong with a new or used "Toy". For what it's worth, Honda's are stolen more often, especially the Accord.

Honda has had the highest residual value in its class. It has the lowest level of repairs in its class. The Toyota just slipped according to the car magazines. Quality level has dropped while Honda has gone way up. I have had 3 accords and 1 s-2000 with absolutely NO problems and a great resale. They also lease the best if your credit is good.
