Is the V6 power necessary in the 2008 Honda Accord?

I am considering purchasing the 2008 Honda Accord Coupe, but would rather save my money and not get the V6 engine. I have read from owners that without the V6 the car is not powerful enough. Anyone without the V6 that thinks the car is ok without it?

The V6 is not necessary by any means but there is a very noticable difference between the 2. The fuel efficiency of the inline 4 is great but it struggles a bit while doing simple task like going up a hill, passing or hauling 4 passengers. Everybody has thier own personal preference and everybody has to decide whats more important (saving fuel, more power). When it comes down to it, I think you should test drive both and decide which model would be right for you.

My parents just got a new Accord with the 177hp 4-cylinder and it feels like a V6.

If you dont think thats enough for you get the EX with the 192hp 4 cylinder. You do not need the V6
