What is the cost of a timing belt and water pump change on a 1998 Honda...

...Accord Ex @ 135,000 miles? I plan on having this within a wk, I dont expect to be going to a dealership for the work. At a reg mechanic's shop what's the total typical cost of this procedure on aforementioned vehicle?

Miles have little to do with it. Replacement time can be up to 2.5 hours. Parts and labor are dealer specific. Depends on where you take it to. If you can get the part cheaper than a dealer, and they might install it for you, save you some money. Typically if that happens, they will only warranty their labor, not the part. But you will have a manfucatures warranty on the part itself....Good luck.
