Whats the chance of my car getting stolen?

So, I bought a 96 Honda Accord LX and I'm affraid it will get stolen because it doesn't have an alarm. I'm thinking about buying a aftermarket alarm. I live in a town where hondas are on the top for stolen cars....my car doesn't have a cd player, still have the original tape deck and radio. The thing is, the car in is in imacculate condition so that scares me that someone might steal it. I park under my carport at my apartment complex. What do you think? If I were to buy a alarm would the theif easily disable the alarm and take it anyway.I've heard of LowJack - Anyone know the price range?

Hondas are very reliable cars, given i dont see many people trying to make up names like Found On Road Dead for it. A 96 LX is really not the popular ones to be stolen, Si's and Ex's are models that would end up getting stolen, mainly Civics. I would at least get Lowjack on it. so if someone does steal it, you can find it ASAP before they strip it for parts.

Like you said Honda Accords and Civics are very common for being stolen, the alarm would not only help but you would get a discount on your insurance as well for getting it put in.

A tracking system is a better bet then an alarm. Although a good alarm will make your car a less prefered choice for a theif, especially if it includes the blinking light on the dash. Like someone else said, lowjack is a good idea. If you're car is ever stolen, you could track it instantly considering the system hasn't been disabled.
