2007 Civic

hey guys, just got my '07 civic ex the other week. i am new to the modding/tuning/etc. scene.

just would like to know what can be done with this car? i would like to start off with exterior styling, but i got no idea where to even begin looking for body kits/rims/mufflers/exhaust tips or anything of the sort.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks.

i would start off with a good suspension setup and rim & tire combo. There are many companis out there that are developing suspension already for newer civics. Also as far as the rims i would not get anything too big otherwise the drop in suspension and bigger rims will change the suspension geometry. I think any 16" wheel would be a good choice! If you are having difficult knowing where to look for these iteams just post back and i am sure many of us could help you out.

i'm not looking to tune it yet, so suspension doesn't interest me at this time.

i currently have the stock 16" installed, wouldn't mind changing that. but as i said in my original post, i have no idea where are some good places to get them installed. i could pretty much get anything for cheap because my dad's business is reselling car parts so i'm not as interested in stores that sell rims as much as places where labour is good and cheap...

and not only for rims/tired, but body work as well (bumpers, doors, etc.).

i live in Vaughan (thornhill to be more precise) so something close by would be good.

thanks

so you want all looks??? I can;t help you there although i know there are some wicked agressive kits for the new civics. I am not sure what you are saying??? You are looking for shops that are able to install or do work for you?

i don't know what i was saying there myself lol...i'll try to word it more clearly.

I want some shop names, and their contact details that do a good job with bodywork and exterior looks. (yes, i'm just interested in looks at this time)

also i would like some links or pictures or information on where i can see and get the new body kits and such for the new civics.

...hope that was a bit clearer, sorry.

To be honest with you.......all the body kits that are out for the 8th gen Civic are crap.

If you want to jazz up your exterior, I'd say just stick with the HFP kit. It's made for the car and gives a more aggressive look.

My $0.02

P.S. Check out www.8thcivic.com there you can find a bunch of info on styling and everything else

don't rice your car out, please.

do a jdm civic conversion if you want, to make it look like a csx and get a mugen kit.

or, do what above said and get an oem honda performance kit.

as for rims and tires, our sponsor tires23 is good place to start. also, look into suspension, like lowering springs or something because lower cars look better.

all in all, make sure you dont mess up your warranty.

There is a guy on 8thcivic that did the conversion. I dont remember how much it ended up costing him.......he got the parts from Canada though not the JDM parts (pretty much the samething though)...

Again there is a post on 8thcivic comparing the CDM parts to their JDM counterparts.

Since you are interested in the conversion Im assuming you have a sedan then right? Front end conversion on a coupe is not a direct bolt on.
