I bought an IS300 instead of a CL-S because of all the bad stuff about their tranny I've read. I don't remember what fan site it was but they had a dedicated forum for the transimssion issues, that forum alone was more busy then all of TSR combined.

They extended the warranty on the tranny to 160k km, but once that hits your screwd.

my buddy bought his about 6 months ago tranny was replaced before he got it ... and just had it replaced again all under warranty

has big problems with tranny
