93 civic bubble. help please!

When i am driving and I drive hard for a bit after the speedometer doesnt work, it will bounce all over. The car has a b18c5 in it, and when driven into VTEC the speedo while driving afterwards goes crazy. While driving ar around 100 it will jump from 90 to 110. It calms down after a while of driving, but the speedometer needle always vibrates a bit on the speed you are at. Also the rear mist works, bu the front doesnt, The wipers work, but the spray doesnt. Wondering if I would need a enw pump? or lines? or nozzles? thanks, oh ya, and the tank is obviosly full with fluid.

have u checked your speedo cable?

and check all your washer lines, if there clean, go to your washer bottle, take the hose off the pump and have someone turn it on, if it squirts, then it works. if not, then.... new pump.

that's too bad.
the car doesn't use a cabe,
it has a vss or vehicle speed sensor on the back of the transmission.
you can see it from the top on the passenger side.
sometimes they go bad or,
the wiring on the harness gets corroded &
will cause the same problems you mentioned.

well the mechanic Honda dealer said it was the cluster, even before he looked at it, but wondering if it is the VSS, or the harness, as the problems stopped, but came back during wet weather.

didnt see any corrosion near the area, or on any wiring under the hood, but really only back when i either beat on it, or the weather is wet.

no, but today in lodnon hit a big *** puddle and my check engine light went on, went away after restarting car, but speedo i thought was right ****ed.. didnt work at all... then after driving for about and hour on the highway with no puddles, the speedo, although was bouncing a little bit, was at least reading the speed. The honda mechanic said it would be the cluster.. but after the puddle incident I really think it will be the VSS..
