Acura accident repair question.

91 acura 115 k,s car looks mint . Insurance report says it has had 4800 dollars body repairs . Funny thing is car looks mint and has all serial # stickers on body panels .This car came from an auction house . Can acura/honduh body shops apply new serial # stickers onto replacement body parts ??. Car did not show up as flood, or accident/structure repair . Any ideas ??. Thanks..77.

hmm if the car is mint and straight !!
be happy if it was a deal.
keep in mind too .. this accident might have happened back in the day and the owner had no choice but to get dealer parts and paint because of no aftermarket availability.
could have been a small fender bender .. cracked bumper and headklight or?

i don't think dealers can put or use new serila numbers. my car was just fixed at dealer and nothing was done to transfer serial from OEM parts to new parts.

isn't that illegal? Check the vehicle history. If its from Quebec, they don't do odometer records so its sketchy.

no, they cant apply new stickers. Do the panels with the stickers look new?
