too bad you can't just sell and buy a 5-speed. I looked into it years ago on my old car and decided it wasn't worth it. In fact, had one shop suggest the easiest approach was to swap just the VIN plate :P needless to say I didn't...

alot of work
really its quite a bit of work did this swap in a jeep yj and its deffinatley a hell of alot easier to work on than a civic i got a parts jeep that was stick best bet is to find a wrecked civic with same engine just 5 spd prolly save yourself a headache of looking for all the parts needed. i really dont know that much bout hondas so i could be wrong but the parts you would need obviously you need the 5 spd tranny as well as if there is different sensors on tranny from the auto(not sure), slave cylinder, pedal asembly, 5 spd console(didnt have that problem on the jeep), 5 spd computer, 5 spd tranny mount if its different and all the shift linkage this is why rwd is better than fwd for a swap like this im currently about to undertake in a vr swap in my jetta and its alot of work(kinda off topic)
might of missed something but honestly ppl are right unless you are absolutly set on keeping this car sell it by a 5 spd prolly cheaper and less headache but if you do it 5 spd is so much better than auto so if you r going to keep the car do it best bet is to find a complete car thats wrecked and switch everything over thats how i have done any of my swaps engines tranny ect its nice to have complete car next to it to see how everything go's together plus then you know you have everything you need plus its always nice to have a parts car if you have to space
