Automatic Tranny's
But thats the ptoblem its to much of a hassle for me to drive stick. i love driving standard but its just to much of a hassle with my condition so thats why im trying to find out what I can do to a Auto tranny.
call any local tranny shop, and ask about beefing up and or shift kitting your auto trans. it will still be slower than a stick but your shifts will be harder, and less slippage.
handicap civic sounds like he really wants to have a stick. I'm wondering if there is a company in the barrie area that could adapt a honda 5 speed over to full steering wheel control. I've seen it done to autos and they use shift paddles on WRC cars, why not his civic?
I dont realy want hand controls because I also want to be able to turn the wheel and not have to hold the padle to go. The z Shifter is a Tranny that has an automatic Clutch that engages when you shift. Thats what im looking for. I also want to make the car right hand drive.. You think some sponsors would help with that ?
The shift paddles stay stationary on the steering column. as for right hand drive, it may be do-able. I've seen a dodge caravan converted over for a rural mail delivery van.
I know people are using GM automatic tranny's on Drag Honda's. What are those 4spd's called?..4563? 4L65? the tranny that come's on the 3.8's. There's an adaptor kit to hook them to a K serie's. Why not hook one up to a B serie's and make an All otu drag civic? If it was set up for drag there's no way you could outshift that thing.
