Bouncing Tach

I have a 94 civic cx with a d16z6 swap. The cluster was replaced so I could make use of a tachometer and watch my revs. Whats happening though is anytime i give it a little gas give my needle starts bouncing back and forth as it climbs up the RPM gauge. Under normal driving (shifting a 2500 - 3000 rpm) the tach works perfectly. Any help appreciated. Thx

had a similar problem in my civic....check that there is good connection to the negitive screw on the coil/ignitor you will have to remove the distributor cap...poor signal to the terminal can cause the atch to waiver or bounce...

hope it works out for ya....
