Catalytic convertor

Im replacing my catalytic convertor on my 1990 acura integra and i bought a universal cat so i have to make it fit my self. i have to cut my exhaust manifold and put a pipe on that and use clamps to hold it together should i use anything inbetween the pipes like a sealant. this is my first time working on an exhaust sytem if you have any tips or thoughts were i might be ing up help me out thanks.

Why would you want a cat in your car? thta just GGGGGGHEY, jk. my car has streight pipes. I like it
