Get a friend who knows exatly what hes doing AND that you trust.. or a freind from a friend alot of shops simply just charge to much. Or get someone from this site.
If you can fit a K20 ive heard nothing bad at all about em.
Then again you should include specs on what car where looking at.

Tag Racecraft in Oakville does a ton of import swaps and mods. They might be worth a call.

well in that case I think u would be best to settle at a b16a for the cost efficiency and reliability

yeah if u can afford 6 grand for the parts

all depends on how much you want to spend...a B16 is less than 1/2 the price of a b18c5, however its definately worth it for what you get. id save your coins if i were you and go all out.

You willl never regret spending money on quality. It's worth the extra to do it right the first time. I'm a VW freak, but I would definentely go with a b18c. And before you put it in, do the cams, Port and Polish, header, etc. Spend the time, and save before you do a job like that. That's why it took 2 years to build the 2l 16v turbo that was in my Rabbit. When I was done, it put out over 380 hp at 25 psi and 390 ft lbs of torque. Granted it cost me close to 8000, but well worth it.

if you just want a bit of pep go with a b18b (LS) or b20. I suggest this b/c with the LS/B20 you can still use 87 octane gas. And they are very torquey engines, with the option of adding a vtec head later on. And the LS/B20 will hold its own if you decide to go turbo.

You honda guys get BRUTALLY ripped off on engine prices.

I can get a 1jzgte or 2jzgte for $1500....including trans/engine/turbos/harness/ecu

Even the sr20's are BRUTALLY over priced for what you get.

And you all thought honda was the cheap route to go.

Markup is a bitch ain't it?
