IIRC ZC is a D16A8 or 9.
If you shift to 8 grand on a ZC, it's not a ZC. THe redline should be 7200rpm on a stock motor.
I think the 8 is a european model with less compresion and the 9 is JDM with higher compression and less enviromental .
I dunno the too much about zc's really. I know they bolt into a CRX, and there are two kinds one that bolts into the Rex and the one from the integra that doesn't.
Oh found this
"ZC ~ Japanese model - comes in several varieties. Injected, carbed, sohc, dohc, brown valve cover, obd0 and obd1."

Alright, many poeple are confused about the zc engines. They are all jdm engines and can be compared to the i beleive the years are 86-89 integra engines. They come in both ob0 and obd1 in both sohc and dohc. The sohc comes in vtec and non vtec. These engines come from the civic/crx and i beleive since they have them in obd1 also the next gen civics. In terms of buying parts for this engine you are looking for d-series parts. What ecu are you running???

emps.....nono it is a zc it says right on the block.....but i have had some issues with my temperture sensor when i start the car it goes all the way to hot and i can shift at 8 but when i fiddle with it and it drops down to cold it only shifts at 7 just over.........and for the ecu im running a integra ecu.the motor is in a 1991 civic cx that was converted all into an si.....
so when i go to order parts for this motor i should say that its an 86-89 integra because i didnt think of that b4 i did the swap?!
thx

ECT for hondas are all similiar thermistors, you can use any honda ect. If you are really worried just use one from a 91 and below civic. I am assuming you dont have an engine light, but thats because obd0 ecus don;t monitor the rationality only high/low readings of the sensor to trip the engine light. If you have a number of ect sensors around from a variety of hondas just use one as its the ecus part to set the high and low settings of the ect.
