EF civic electrical problem

my little brother has an 88 civic hatch , brought it to school and did the body work and little things that needed top be done. now the problem is either him or his buddy installed the battery in backwards, now there is no power anywhere and there is continuity between ground and the positive battery cable, checked for melted wires and none found also no smell, i beleive the wire that is grounding out goes to the ignition switch

any input would be helpful

ya i agree its fuses... go to CT (or anywhere) and buy a kit of all different fuses... you'll probably be replacing quite a few.
