Engine Swap in a 1994 Accord

well here's the deal , my buddy has a 1994 Accord and he's looking for a engine that will give him the best bang for his buck. $6 000.00 is what he wants to spend on the motor.

dont know that much about the accords but i would have to say get one of thoughs new v6 engines from the newer accords they throw you right back in your seat. and if he want he can modifie it to what ever he want"to give you whip lash" that would be my best thoughs good luck

a h22 would be the best bang for buck IMO. You can get the motor for $2500-3000 depending on where you go. And you will still have money left to modify it. $6000-$3000= $3000 for mods. You can do Alot for $3000. You can get a good turbo system or go the all motor route. its up to personal prefrence...

f20b? isnt that s2000? it wont work cause accord is fwd where as s2k is rwd.

h22 is the best bang for the buck, but if your buddy wants to get creative, k24

F20C is the S2000 motor, the F20B is the Accord Type R engine. Both good engines but I would go with an H22.

i've heard that the H22 motor has some problems. ETD Racing dosen't reccomend doing a H22 swap

If you do an h22 swap you have to replace the autotentioner and replace it with a manual one that fixes alot of problems

Umm not shure if youll have this problem with the accord or not but the altornater and the starter solenoid wires might have to be extended dont quote me on that i know that from the 92-95 si swap it does, also axles youll have to get the right ones. oh and make shure you get the harness for the h22 with it as you will have to do alot of wiring probably. The EGR system youll either have to block it off or just use it. thats all i can think of oh and if you want the part numbers for the autotensioner fix let me know ill send them your way one more thing your harnnes you can get one made for a price from Hasport heres the link
