it pretty much ready to drop in your EF since it came out of an EF. comes with cable tranny and OBD-0 ecu. if you want more tuning options later on you can convert to obd-1. just need the harness adapter, ecu and dizzy.

yea and as i was saying.......
anyways heres what you are up against..

Your on board diagnostic system in gen 0, which means to make wiring simple and easy for you it would be nice to have an obd 0 engine installed. A b18a (a meaning first 1.8 ls engine in begiining year 1990 to the end year of 93) is realistic decision for you. Another benefit of an obd0 engine is that your existing chassi has a cable style transmission and as does the b18a. This makes swapping the engine much easier.

Now a b18b is out of a 94+ acura integra and is basically the same engine with minor differences. this engine carries out an obd2 system which makes wiring more work for you. Also this transmission is a hydraulic transmission which means you will need a conversion kit that supporting comanys sell such as hasport. The benefits are that these are newer engines meaning there is a better chance the for engine to be in optimal condition.

i would personally try for a b18a, but if it bears down to it b18b has better features but is going to leave you with more work and money for smaller things. I don;t want to get into detail, but that gives you an idea.
goodluck
