ALLLRRRIIGHT....got a slight problem and cant find a solution....i own a 1992 honda civic si hatch....here goes:

Somehow im still gettin power to interior applications and cant seem to figure out the problem....when turn the key into off position and pull it out of the ignition, i still get power to all the H-Vac control and the H-Vac still works. also the rear window defroster still works as well...NOOOWWW this car has been equipped with a remote starter which now no longer works....i had a hunch that this could be the problem but would like some assistance as to what the hell is going on cuz im completely confused...ive taken apart the whole dash and checked for a wiring issue and have almost given up....PLLLZZZ HELPPPP!!!!

Alright i will try and help you out with this one.

You will need to go into more detailed invesigation with a multimeter or bulb style testlight not an LED one. The circuit has obviously a way of working so you know its finding a ground and supply. The heater motor relay, blower motor, fan switch, control motor, heater control panel, rear defogger relay all share a common ground. Basically in automotive electricity most switches are controlled by the ground side of the cicuit. When the fan is switched off there is no ground and when turned to any other setting it is grounded. So now that you say the key is out of the ignition the circuit must be live up until the fan switch. Now the reason your defogger and climate control work is because the circuit is live and is looking for a ground. Hence you playing with dials and buttons complete the ciruit ( giving it a ground). I would check for whats live at the ignition switch with a test light and see what your results are.

You should see...

accesorries- white/black
Ignition 2 - Yellow
Ignition 1 - Black/Yellow
Start- Black/ White

I checked a wiring diagram quickly for you. It all starts at the heater motor relay....2 wires 80A from the battery unsure of colour and a Black/Yellow wire.
So technically both of those are getting power in order for it to work with the key out of the ignition.

Good luck
