Help! I put E-85 in my gas tank for my Honda Pilot and it messed up all
of the computers in it? The dealership wants to charge me $400 to take out the gas tank and empty it. It made the malfunctioning lamp turn on and the 4 wheel drive button won't work and it is stuck in 4WD! Please give me some advice! I don't have this kind of money to waste! I had called the dealership about two years ago and asked them if I couuld put E85 in my accord and they said yes. I brought this to their attention today and they said they don't tell people that and who did I speak to? I have no idea who I spoke to!!?!?!? Now I have to pay. $90 already for them judt to hook it up to the computer!

Before you let the dealer fix your vehicle. Take the negative cable lose from the battery. count to 30 and put it back. Start your vehicle and see if it will drive. the computers on today's vehicles learn form the gas we use and the way we drive. Changing fuels like that may of just confused the computer. After that tank full is gone and you go back to regular gas you may need to do the battery thing again.
