My Honda stereo just went out all of a sudden and since my car is just outside of warranty, the dealership is charging me almost $400 just to repair it! I talked to a mechanic whose had to replace his stereo TWICE in his 2002 CRV. A friend has also had problems with the stereo in her Civic on and off for years. I'm trying to find out how common this is ... sounds like Honda makes bad stereos.

Honda make great cars but skimp on so called extras, like stereos. Buy a decent car next time like a Mazda.
