well first you want to buy rims that are light weigh not heavy because that will effect your shock travel and braking and accelarating. measure your cars stock tire lenght from one end to the other say it meassures 18inch well get something aroun that measure ment and you will probably want some thing that is about in that range. because if you go bigger you might rub wen hiting a pot hole

22s will fit. just need to lift the car a coupleinches and do a little trimming inside the fenders and bumper. backspacing and verysmall width is key.

I have an '01 Civic LX, with a Tsunami T2001 Polyurethane kit, and 18 inch bronze rims, and 225/40 tires. My car is not lowered, and I have scraping problems when I make hard turns, or turn while reversing. The scraping is my tires against the inside of my fender or against my front bumper... and that causes my kit to get loose around my front headlights... I had to install stronger screws about a year ago, and still have to periodically check it.I had 225/45 tires on the rear axle for awhile to absorb some of the harder bumps on the horrible roads in Kentucky, and when I hit a bump on the highway driving over, 55mph they would scrape the inside of the rear quarter panel. Finally they both blew out and I switched back to 225/40 on the rear axle, with no more problems. So if you do not drive your car heavy, go ahead and get 18s but if you do, 16s or 17s would be a lot better. I've had two sets of 18s now, and I would like to get some 16s and sell my 18s, even though 18s look better. You have to sacrifice practicality for looks as far as rims go.
