my buddy has a 94 civic si custom,baught it with a B16A engine swap but he's having troubles getting it to pass emissions test. He has had the car for a little while now but has only been able to drive it with a temp pass here and there. I need to find some1 who knows where he mite be able to geta fake done for a decent price. He lives in kitchener but is willing to drive to toronto area to get it done if needed. Ne help with this topic would be great.

dud go to canadian tire and they have a product for e test that says you will pass with this stuff if you dont the gauranty it all you have to do is stick it in with the gas

I believe he has to get an etest as a hot rod since the engine is an aftermarket engine.

actually, gauranteed to pass doesnt always make a car pass an e-test for sure, if you read the back of the bottle it says, in the case that you fail the emissions test,you can only receive a refund if your vehicle retains all of the stock emissions equipment, such as Cat, EGR, etc. the hot rod e-test standards state that for this your engine not only has to be a larger displacement than stock, but it also has to be of another manufacturer, so swapping to a higher displacement honda engine does not count, this is a fairly new rule, because i gues they caught on to all the guys doing engine swaps. crafty buggers.

honestly i dont know if its a JDM or what. he baught the car last march from some guy that was in VM,all it needed to pass safety was to get the horn hooked up cause it has an aftermarket steering wheel and the horn wasnt working when he baught it. but he has taken it half a dozen times to e-test in KW and its failed every time. hes just been driving it around with temp passes here and there, other than that this beauty honda is just sitting in his drive way. I just really need to find someone that can write a fake for my buddy. thanks for the feedback keep it coming he wants the car on the road asap before it F***in' snows.

O2 SENSOR
CAT
Fuel system contamination if its failed a few times already give us the readings on the test and we'll tell you when to begin the fixing process...
Could be blown piston rings
head gasket...
endless things so give us the information needed to help you out

i heard 2 things that JDM engines won't pass emissions and then i heard they will aslong as you run them when there hot.

y cant ne one get e tests done ne more !? my buddy got one done like 2 months ago for his neon, and now all of a sudden theres nothing to be found ne where .

on this forum, we don't like the concept of "fake etests". clean air helps everyone. if you would like more info on how to repair your engine or how to pass the etest (i.e. run the car for 45 mins on hwy), we'd be more than happy to help you. :thumbsup:

for the JDM thing, it doesnt have to be of another manufacturer, it just has to pass the test like everyone else. the hotrod thing is for any engine not offered in the US. The 1jz supra guys get away with it all the time. oh and pass it liek the rest of us. fake eests are a no no and i dont want the communities image to be frowned upon on because of one non-law abiding person.
