Exclamation Major engine problems!

Hi i just did an engine swap on a 96 accord exr. I removed the vtec f22b1 engine and replaced it with a f22b2 non vtec.im using the distributor, plugs and everything else off the vtec engine but I got the f22b2 running and i cant rev over 3500 rpm, so is there any recomendations out there as to how i can rectify this problem, does it need a new ecu? if so which type??? also, when i start it up theres a loud knocking from the head for the first couple of seconds then it goes away. What is this? Thirdly, all the clutch fluid escaped out during the swap and now im having trouble bleeding the clutch system, mainly cause i dont know what the **** im doing, any realistic suggestions?

cant rev over 3500.... you have some sensors not conected or conected wrong... maybe the tps and the map is mixed up.

noise on start up......is there enough oil in the engine? if there is forget it, your not fixing that unless you pull aprt the top end

clutch fliud..... open the bleeder at the slave and let it drip out until there's no air in the system

The vtec sensor isnt plugged in cause there is no vtec on this engine, also theres enough oil and the noise is like a chatter on starts, and the fluid wont drip out and the clutch pedal is floppy, no pressure .

sorry! i didnt read that right. no i didnt make sence. i though the last post was somone giving you advice.

ok... forget vtec right now you should be able to rev above 3500. did you check the tps and map sensor? they llok the same so you might have them reversed.

the chatter... thats so hard to say unless i hear it could be anything... belts? starter? somthing you didnt tighten?

clutch.... if you fill the resovoir and open the bleeder and it wont come out then close the bleeder, push the clutch pedal to the floor then open the bleeder, repeat untill it comes out

Talking

im not sure about the tps and map sensors? where are they located?, i dont have the terminology of the matter down yet lol. i plugged EVERYTHING back in pretty exact and the only thing i have half assed is the valve cover to throttle body hose, it should be an egr valve i think, i just have a damn tube! lol

The engine noise im going to live with for now, its only on the first couple of revolutions coming from the head, so its some valves knocking around which is cool i guess

the clutch has no pressure when you apply it, so your saying just pump fluid through right?? like how do i get the clutch fork to move and pressure back to the clutch??

the tps is your throttle position, its on the back of the t.b, the map sensor(manifold absolute pressure) is on the top the t.b(throttle body) they should be grey 3 wire plugs.

if the ecm dosent know your throttle position the engine cant fuction right and i think thats why you cant rev past 3500rpm. vtec doesnt matter. also if you mixed up the sensors you will for sure have an engine light

when your first bleeding the clutch and it has no fluid pressure the pedal will stick to the floor untill you have some pressure. just keep pumping the pedal then open the bleeder, close the bleeder, pump the pedal.................
