hey guys i wannna know if i put a b18b in my ek (d16y7) do i have to change my mounts tooo bc i seen in some swaps on the net that they look the same or maybe im wrong plz help thanks

im pretty sure b and d mounts are the same (although someone will correct me if im not!) but if your doing a swap its a good idea to replace the mounts anyways. good luck with the swap.

what aout injecting polyuratan in the mount would be cheaper right

well you could, but all that would be doing is make the mount stiffer.

yeah tru bc im looking in to getting a b18b getting it off my cuzin unless i find a good deal that comes by but i just neeed to know if i have to change any mounts bc if i dont have to then i can save money or i could put that money to the engine or something do u know any websites that could help me out bc i have been looking on the net and cant find any b18b swaps in a 00 civic ( ek) so if u knwo that would help alot

I asked someone who is fairly knowledgeable about swaps and they said you can reuse your stock mounts, I am selling my 99 B18B complete swap with 155k on it no gear grinds or anything on the tranny for a very reasonable price, pm me if your interested. Although the motor wont be available for pick up for a few weeks (which is why im selling it so cheap)

dont cheap out on anything when doing a swap because it could cause you some problems down the road. i hope you realize theres more than just mounts when doing the swap, you gotta change linkages, ecu, harness, axles. btw are you doing the swap yourself or getting someone to do it for you?

lol well i know about all thjat i just wannted to know if i had to bc i have been looking at picss and the mounts on my car are the same soo i just wanted to know aboutthe mounts i know about everything else and yeah me and my cuzin well he will be doing most of it he did my other swap too and did a reallly good and clean job but anything else on the mounts
