I was told, No, just drive slowly till it's warmed up. It saves on fuel. There is usually no carburerator, as most have some type of fuel injection, so therefore it has no choke to open up.

It would be the best. About ten minuets before you leave where ever, Just turning it on and driving off with the car can be harmful to the engine.

Yes...in all cars. It takes time to thin out the oil that is going to protect your engine. (especially in the winter). It isn't necessary to warm it up too long..........maybe 10 minutes at tops, but if the engine is still go, start off at a slower speed until it warms up.

Cars don't need to be warmed up at all unless it's below freezing. You just need to drive slowly for the first few minutes once you get out. Older cars probably should be ran for around 5 minutes before going. Also, your warmth comfort and defrosting should be considered when deciding how long to warm up a car. Fuel injected cars need no warming up.

no. just don't step on the gas too quickley. go slowly and when the engine is warmed up you can speed all you want.
