Is it possible to outrun her car?

I’m a very zealous cyclist and enjoy taking on difficult challenges. My friend, Yin and I take the same route to work, which is a quiet rural road. There is a stretch of a 3 mile straightway, so I’m wondering if it is possible to outrun her car? Postscript: My friend, Yin drives a 2002 Honda Civic DX, with a 1.7L, 115 horse power engine and a 4-Speed automatic transmission. To pass on my thanks, I’ve temporary placed a photo page for your viewing. Please comment.http://www.flickr.com/photos/11603612@N06/In return, please offer your honest opinions.

You are going to try and outrun a car???Unless you can ride over 50mph I wouldn't even try.Its a car mate,,a car,how the hell do you outrun a car on a bike.?Difficult challenge to say the least, and incredible in the event of her defeat.Good luck, you will need it..

The car could be going at least 80mph if they accelerate at full speed, how do you expect to beat that on a bike. Buy a faster car and quit wasting your time racing cars on a bike.
