Removing aftermarket paint from alloy rims?

My boyfriend just got a new car, and the previous owner had spray painted a set of alloy rims gold. We need to know the best way to remove the spray paint so the are back to their original color. How would we go about doing that? Is it possible?

The only way is to apply paint stripper, then have them polished,or you could paint them again, after thoroughly removing the stripper.

you can try paint thinner or, you can sand it down with a fine sand paper and spray paint over it with the color it came with or your can do silver.
