sohc zc problem

hey i got a sohc the car doesn't idel properly or it turns off i dunno wuts going on with it anyone know anything got the timing belt done it wwas running fineee for the 1st couple of weeks changed the dizzy and sometimes the car doesn't pick up as fast n it kicks in like 5 secs atfer and catchs speed


anyone??

yea, im pretty sure its the distributor. what happens is you know if you undo the bolts lightly, you can turn the distributor fowards and backwards; this affects your timing. if you changed the dizzy yourself, play with the shifting it backwards and forwards until you get it right. then i suggest you take a knife and make a mark on the dizzy and on the opposite mount, so if you change it again, you know where it goes. if you got it done by someone, take it back there and tell them to adjust it. some people know the ideal position for a dizzy by just eyeballing it :thumbsup:
