Strange noise coming from 2005 Honda Civic LX (tire/wheel related??)?

OK, here's the details first: 2005 Honda Civic LX, approx. 45k miles on it. Have had all recommended services performed. Recently replaced one tire which had a nail in it. Had an alignment/rotation done.Problem: Right before I took it into Honda to get my 40k service done, I heard a strange noise. As I accelerate from 30mph up - I start to hear a constant "revving/humming" noise. It starts out low, and rather deep sounding, and as I speed up, it gets faster and higher pitched. Until, basically it sounds like I'm driving my car in 3rd gear when I should be in 4th. When I slow down, I hear the noise get lower and slower until it disappears. I don't hear it at idle or below 25-30 mph. My car shifts fine, and the rpms are where they should be so it's not actually "revving"...that's just what the noise sounds like. I've inspected the tires and they all look fine. But, it basically sounds like I have a small motorcycle stuck in 3rd gear driving next to my car at 60-75mph. Please help!!!It's an automatic transmission.

first check the catalatyc converter shield, it could be loose. if its then just have someone remove it for you. if not, check the tires for and uneven worn spots.

Well the bi-secteral novamaster is probly acting up on the upper dorseamis and the regulater is at a 61.8 Degree angle so the only solution is wear Meijer brand Yellow rubber gloves when opperating this automobile.

Could be the tire, some tires are noisy because of their design. Also could be a wheel baring.
