supercharger question?
 

Thinking about putting on a super charger on my 1.6. My question is that I currently have have just put on 2 1/4 " exhaust and everyone tells me something different. I am only gonna run about 5lbs and I have some people say it will work fine may hurt performance a tad but it will be ok and then I have others that say no I have to go at least 2 1/2". Is there anyone here that has a jrsc on with 2 1/4"???

2.25 good but 2.5 is better;)

i wouldnt worry about using 2.25.. but, if youre truly concerned call the manufacture of the S.C. as im sure they would be more than willing to answer some questions for you. :thumbsup

Which SC are you looking at? If its Vortech, I'd do your research first. I always loved to gawk at that Vortech advertisement in magazines......until I looked at the performance charts on the 1.6 DOHC. ALL power is in the high rev range (so unusable). :(

on a side note.. ive ran both SC and Turbo. Turbo made sick power but i had alot more fun on the street with the SC. :thumbsup
Mind you, alot had to do with setup and driveability on the turbo setup.
