Swap for an '92 Civic Hatchback ex

I just bought a cheap Civic with a blown engine, Whats the biggest thing i can swap in it with at least some ease? Is a b18c5 best?

if you know what your doing, not that difficult. But by the sounds of your question you dont know, so i would get a shop to do it, or do some research first.

B18C GSR is about the easiest swap...

and alot less work & higher reving than the H22

The car will be used for autox.

if it's for autox i'd worry more about the suspension than the motor. i know a guy in an eg hatch that autox's regularly with just a stock sohc and LSD tranny. his suspension and brakes on the other hand is a different story.

well like i said it had a blown engine, so i was already replacing the engine, i already have the suspension figured out, i only budgeted for a 3 grand engine, becuase i new i could get atleast get a b16, but i saw i left enough budget to get either a b18 or h22.

If you can get a GSR for that money, you could get a reputable shop to do an install for about $500,which is right around your budget.
