What wire under the hood do i splice into in order to connect a aftermarket tach

not sure wut kind of car ur drivin... but i know on all 92-95 civics ive worked on theres a little blue wire with a clear or white rubber boot over it sticking out of the top right corner. close to where the slave cylinder resevior and hood hinge are... thats wut i always hook em up 2..
