Turbo on a manual car???

so one of my buddies has a Honda Civic.... but it's a Manual and he wants to throw a turbo on it. is that bad or stupid or what??

manual transmission is probably the best tranny for a turbo and a honda civic is a great canidate for a turbo upgrade but make sure u add an intercooler to keep the engine temps down with the right installation a turbo can add as much as 50% more powergood luck

not stupid at all. like anybody else that answers this q, it is better w/ a manual transmission. and not only do you have to install an intercooler you got to strengthen the insides of the engine.
