Vtec Controller????

Vtec Controller????

Hey i was just wondering how hard it is to install a vtec controller and is ebay the best way to go to get one... looking for an apexi vtec and air fuel controller... let me know thanks.

instructions come with the controller you gotta tap in to your harness and/or your ecu. you might be better off to get your stock ecu tuned and chipped with a custom map. if you don't have any internal mods done it probably won't do much for you. wrong settings in a vafc might do damage to your motor.

dont get a vtec controller, theyre just an expensive hack that looks neat. what are your goals for the vtec controller? change the vtec engage point? higher rev limit? no speed limiter? adjust fuel/ignition maps? all of this can be done with your ecu chipped with crome for bout $50 if not less.

Chrome it ! Alot more features and as alot guys are saying vafc is only an expensive hack with not many features to it. fuel tunablity is the only option with those so this is where they disappoint me.

where do u get the chipping done for $50? i just swapped h22 in my accord..someone else has h22 ecu chipped..is it ok to swap the ecu or do i have to have my own ecu chipped?

as long as the chipped ecu is for your motor, and is a decent program, put it in

you can chip your ecu for less than $50 if you do it yourself, which I do nicely.

chipping isnt hard, tuning properly without the proper tools is

anyone who has experience soldering chips into circuit boards can do it, you just gotta get the right kit for your ecu, i usually go to Welcome to www.moates.net! : Moates.Net for my stuff
